This 19th century oil painting is now ready for its final stage of restoration.
In this third and final episode, I apply putty to level the reconstructed area, carefully reintegrate color through retouching, and unify the surface with a final protective varnish.
The inpainted section is gradually integrated into the surrounding composition to restore visual continuity while respecting the original artwork. The restoration concludes with selective gilding on the frame, restoring its harmony and presence.
This episode completes the full conservation process — from structural stabilization to aesthetic reintegration.
