It is time to pen yet another farewell note, this time for "Shri Mrinal Kanti Roy ". He began his journey, on the 1st of June 1992 ,As Assistance Locopilot Goods at Rampurhat . On 6th October 1994 he transfered to howrah As ALP goods atlast he transferred to Sealdah on 28th November 1997 Through his career, He stands a witness to transition from Diesel to Electric Locomotives. In his early days, He functioned as Diesel Operator, later as Loco Pilot of Diesel Locomotives (over 33 years). For past 3 years, He has been driving Electric Locomotive powering Mail Express Trains. He concludes his Last service in the 12343 UP Sealdah - Haldibari "Darjeeling Mail" on 7/12/2023.
Amongs numerous qualities a Loco Pilot must possess, alertness stands out as paramount. As a seasoned pilot, he strongly advises younger generations to maintain constant vigilance as any lapse of it could lead to consequences affecting many lives.
As he retires, we will say farewell to his immense reservoir of experience. Thank you sir for your service. We will miss you.
