Описание: Founded in 1981 by Marchese Lodovico Antinori, the Ornellaia estate is tucked in Tuscany’s foothills near the Mediterranean coast. The estate has always maintained a terroir-focus to its winemaking, incorporating and expressing the unique marine, alluvial, and volcanic soils in Bolgheri’s maritime climate. Ornellaia specializes in international grape varieties expressed under an Italian lens. Estate Director, Axel Heinz, who previously worked in Bordeaux at Chateau Palmer, has been at Ornellaia since 2005, masterfully steering this storied property to its greatest heights. Their flagship wine is a Bordelaise blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot, ideally balanced to preserve freshness, with a second wine, Le Serre Nuove, on offer since the 1997 vintage, in addition to Ornellaia Bianco, Le Volte, and a unique dessert wine, Ornus. It is a pleasure to be joined by Axel Heinz who will take us through recent releases of Le Serre Nuove and Ornellaia as we explore the Bordelaise side of Bolgheri!
