4. SOUNDBITE: (English) Jacques Rogge, International Olympic Committee (IOC) President:
"Individual cases will not be pursued with police, that goes without saying, but if there is really a blatant intent of ambush marketing by another company, or by a group of people with commercial views, then of course we will intervene. If you have the T-shirt of a competitor of one of our sponsors, we will not intervene, of course, that goes without saying. So, common sense will prevail, and LOCOG (London Organising Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games) will work with common sense."

6. SOUNDBITE: (English) Jacques Rogge, International Olympic Committee (IOC) President:
"Well, we feel that we are able to give a very strong homage and remembrance for the athletes within the sphere of the National Olympic Committee. We feel that we are going to do exactly the same at the exact place of the killings and the military airport near to Munich on the 5th of September, the exact date (of 1972 Olympic killings). But we feel that the opening ceremony is an atmosphere that is not fit to remember such a tragic incident."

8. SOUNDBITE: (English) Jacques Rogge, International Olympic Committee (IOC) President:
"We are reassured that everything that is needed has been put in place. And secondly, on the issue of security, yes, it has been an issue, it has been identified, corrective measures were taken, the company will compensate the extra costs of the soldiers to the government, and I humbly believe that it's time to move on now."

10. SOUNDBITE: (English) Jacques Rogge, International Olympic Committee (IOC) President:
"We have decided to make a full fledge inquiry into the system of selling tickets, taking into consideration what has happened and what has been reported. This is something that we're going to begin immediately after the London Games, and that will be a quest for another system that will be better."

STORYLINE
International Olympic Committee (IOC) President Jacques Rogge during a news conference in London on Saturday commented on allegations that the London 2012 organisers went too far in protecting sponsors.
He said no action will be taken against individuals if the logos on their T-shirts, for example, are of competitors to official sponsors.
Rogge added "common sense will prevail" but warned that Olympic sponsors' rights would be protected and a "blatant" attempt at ambush marketing would result in intervention by the IOC and the local organising committee.
Head organiser Sebastian Coe had suggested there would be a strong response to fans with unofficial branding, telling a radio station that a person with a Pepsi T-shirt wouldn't be allowed into an Olympic venue because soft drink rival Coca-Cola is a main sponsor.
Rogge also rejected the latest calls for a minute's silence to be observed at the opening ceremony of the London Olympics for the 11 Israeli team members killed by Palestinian gunmen at the 1972 Munich Games.
The IOC has come under pressure from politicians in the United States, Israel and Germany to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the Munich massacre at next Friday's opening ceremony.
Rogge reiterated the IOC's position against a minute's silence during the London opening ceremony.
The IOC President expressed full confidence in the organisers of the London Games.
