Описание: In a shocking development in the Mulund Metro accident case, five people including the Project Director have been arrested after a deadly slab collapse at the under-construction Metro Line 4 corridor overseen by the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority.

The parapet slab fell from the elevated structure onto vehicles passing below on LBS Road in Mulund West, killing Ramdhan Yadav and leaving three others injured, two of whom remain in the ICU.

Police have booked managers, engineers, supervisors, and workers under multiple IPC sections. The accused are linked to Milan Road Buildtech, a subcontractor of the Reliance–Astaldi JV, and supervisory firm DB Hill LBG.

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has announced ₹5 lakh compensation for the victim’s family and assured full medical support for the injured. MMRDA has imposed a ₹5 crore fine on the contractor and ₹1 crore on the supervision consultant amid allegations of serious safety lapses.
