Traditional hockey thinking was to "Stay on your side!" during 3v2 situations-- but as dynamic as hockey is, it's more important that we thinking about the depth of our attack, rather than the width.
In this video, we'll breakdown the key to creating good depth, and easy offense in 3v2 and 4v3 situations: The Center Lane Drive.
The puck carrier looks to push the puck wide, and the first forward in the zone without the puck (F2), drives down the middle of the ice, full speed. This creates offensive chances, and space for the trailing forward and first defenseman in the zone.
It's a simple, repeatable process for creating good offense!
Let's get after it!
