Ingredients 🍲:
1 cup yellow lentils (moong dal or masoor dal) 🥣
2 cups fresh spinach, chopped 🌿
1 onion, finely chopped 🧅
1-2 green chilies 🌶️
1 tsp ginger garlic paste 🧄
1 tsp cumin seeds 🌱
½ tsp turmeric powder 🌾
½ tsp red chili powder 🌶️
Salt, to taste 🧂
2 tbsp oil or ghee 🛢️
Water, as needed 💧
Fresh coriander for garnish 🌿
Step-by-step method 👇:
Wash lentils and boil in water until soft ⏲️🥣
Heat oil in a pan, add cumin seeds 🌱 and sauté onions 🧅 until golden
Add ginger garlic paste 🧄 and green chilies 🌶️, cook 1–2 minutes
Add turmeric 🌾, red chili powder 🌶️, and salt 🧂
Add boiled lentils and chopped spinach 🌿, mix well
Simmer for 5–7 minutes until dal is creamy 🍲
Garnish with fresh coriander 🌿 and serve hot with roti 🍞 or rice 🍚
