I went over a decade without writing songs. 7+ years without making music at all.
I wrote this one while sitting at my kitchen table one night looking out the window over our farm.
During my time away from music we built this whole place together as a family. We could not have done that if I had kept touring and pursuing a music career.
I look across this property and see my families fingerprints on all of it. I have the memories of the work, the struggle, the victories, the fun. And I'm grateful for the life we've made. It is good.
Thank you for coming along for the journey as I write and share again on social media.
