This video explains some of the features of the IIW Type I reference block. The 4" and 9" reflectors that are used to calibrate are explained. There is also a caution about a mode converted signal that may cause an error when calibrating with some transducers and wedges.
Equipment: Olympus EPOCH 1000i UT tester, IIW Type I Reference Block, GE 5MHZ, 0.25" diameter transducer with a 45 degree screw on wedge.
