The Ministry of Technology and Science together with the Radiation Protection Authority have urged the mining industry to be cautious in the use of radiation in mining activities.
Technology and Science Minister, FELIX MUTATI says the use of radiation is not bad but lives of the miners need to be prioritised by improving safety measures.
Mr MUTATI was speaking during a tour of the mines in North-western province.
