The CIA Exam provides what is called a ‘scaled score’. This is the process of taking into account that each individual exam that is drawn from the database of questions is going to be a bit different. And some Exams will be a bit more difficult or easier than other Exams. So, getting 70% of the MCQs correct on one Exam may be a better result than getting 71% on a different exam. The scaled scores range from 250 to 750 and 600 is the passing mark. This does not, however, mean that you need to get 70% of the points to pass.
