Today we have a very very interesting topic regarding what should you do if you have 50,000 Pesos. Should you just buy 1 stock or should you distribute it into different stocks.


LEVEL 1: IF YOU ARE JUST STARTING OUT YOU NEED SMALL ACCOUNTS TO PRACTICE

If you are just starting out and trying to get your footing in the markets, it would be best to diversify and cut your position into very small segments like 2,500 Pesos to 5,000 Pesos per trade. Having a lot of small perorations will give you a lot of “bala” to practice and at the same time you are not exposing yourself to a lot of risk per trade.

LEVEL 2: IF YOU HAVE DEVELOPED YOU PLAN, SKILL, STRATEGY AND HAVE THE NECESSARY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE TO TRADE.

Now after you have practiced already and you are done with your learning curve and are confident in scaling things that when you be serious about the allocation of your cash.

I can only share from my own background if you are asking my personal opinion, I won’t diversify it anymore. I would just put it in one stock. Because the only way you are graduating to do this is because you have already built the skill and acumen from the smaller traders at the start. All you have to remember wha you said at the start, you have cashflow, you don’t have debt and you have a solid base of cash. So in a way this is not a reckless move for you. But that is what I would do if I were at that position.

Not sure if you noticed what I did, I focused more on the losses than what you could earn. Because that’s how it should be. Earning in the market is about managing risks. People always get blinded about what they could earn and they forget the risks involved. You don’t have to be that person. The way for you to win is trade based on what you know and what you can tolerate.

LEVEL 3: YOUR PORTFOLIO CONTINUES TO INCREASE AS YOU EITHER ADD MORE MONEY OR MAKE CORRECT TRADES

Repeat all of these steps once you add in more money or once your portfolio gets bigger as you start making more correct trades. Say your portfolio hits 75,000 Pesos or 100,000 Pesos. As it starts to hit key milestones then you go for it and do it.
