It's official, I am in love. L'Antica Pizzeria da Michele has a special place in my heart and especially in my belly. Where to begin? Francesco Zimone, owner of L'Antica, is not only a character, but is incredibly knowledgable of the food industry that is rooted in his Italian childhood. Per usual, he provided me great life advice and taught me something new - the art of eating a pizza. Although we started out with fork and knife, he ensured me that the true way to eat pizza is the "three finger fold." This will be the only way I am eating pizza from here on out.

On to the eats! I'm certainly not one to order octopus off the bat, but at L'Antica, I will always make an exception. The dish was perfectly tender, seasoned, and presented. The spinach and potato were just extra additions to the star of the show. Despite my fear of its appearance, it was well worth it. As per the spaghetti pomodoro topped with burrata, what a classic dish! You cannot go wrong with this, especially if you want to keep it simple and fresh. However, if you're like me and want to experience an explosion in your mouth, get the tonnarelli sausage and truffle. Legend says, she's still struggling with the word today. I wish I could describe this dish, but honestly, if you're curious, you just have to go try it for yourself.
