New Railroad Spur Installation! New Crossing, Derail & Switch! Steel Cross Ties!! IORY

Описание: Brand new railroad spur installation including new railroad crossing, new railroad derail and new railway switch. Brand new customer for a branch line railroad for shortline railway Indiana & Ohio Railway IORY. The new industrial railway spur crosses Kilby Rd near Harrison, Ohio and winds its' way back to a loop track for Valley Asphalt. Notice the steel ties used on the spur! Also notice the derail components being assembled on site. The new level crossing is cross buck protected just like the nearby crossing north of here.
Gravel will be shipped in from the Melvin Stone quarry east of Wilmington, Ohio. Trains will use Indiana & Ohio Railway, CSX and Central Railroad Of Indiana to reach the new spur. This video shows 3 different dates of which I recorded the process of the track installation. The I&O branch that this spur comes off of is the Brookville line that was almost closed a few years back when its main customer at Brookville, Indiana switched to trucks. The 26 mile line was rebuilt when a new grain customer located on the line at Harrison, Indiana. That saved almost half of the line and grain is shipped into that customer instead of out. The only other customer is 84 Lumber and I have only seen them use the line one time. The line is ex Pennsylvania Railroad and it has always been an endangered line. The CIND auto racks train is empty and westbound at North Bend , Ohio which is just east of where this I&O branch connects at Valley Junction. Listen to trains on 161.220 and 161.430.
