In this video, the process of dynamic balancing of a rotary mower rotor is demonstrated using the Balanset-1A portable balancing device. The procedure is carried out directly on the installed machine and is based on standard dynamic balancing principles.
The balancing process includes the following stages:
initial measurements are performed to determine the baseline vibration level of the mower rotor;
a second run is carried out with a calibration (trial) weight installed on one side of the rotor in order to evaluate the change in vibration amplitude and phase;
a third run is performed with the calibration weight installed on the opposite side of the rotor to assess its influence;
based on the results of three measurements, the Balanset-1A software calculates the required mass and angular position of the corrective weights for each side of the rotor;
corrective weights are welded in the calculated positions, followed by a control run; if necessary, additional mass is added to achieve the required vibration level.
This method allows accurate balancing of the rotary mower rotor, resulting in a significant reduction of vibration, lower dynamic loads on bearings and structural elements, and improved reliability and service life of the equipment.
