Welcome to Episode 6 of my Key West 1700 restoration—and this is one of the biggest milestones in the entire build: the transom is getting finished.
The transom is one of the most important parts of the boat. It carries the load of the outboard, takes constant stress from running, and if it isn’t right… nothing else matters. In this episode, I complete the transom rebuild and lock in the structure so the rest of the restoration can move forward on a solid foundation.
