Stack effect or chimney effect is the movement of air into and out of buildings, chimneys, flue-gas stacks, or other containers, resulting from air buoyancy.

What causes stack effect?
Cause for the stack effect. There is a pressure difference between the outside air and the air inside the building caused by the difference in temperature between the outside air and the inside air
This demonstrations uses Fire Dyanmics Simulator (FDS) Example "stack_effect.fds" from "Atmospheric_Effects" directory.
Simulation domain is a 2D domain with 400.0 m height and 100.0 m wide single cell thick. and simulation is performed for 100.0 seconds.
