This video shows a 15 MW train fire simulation in a tunnel using the Fire Dynamics Simulator (FDS) with visualization in Smokeview.
The simulation results include:
Smoke spread and Heat Release Rate (HRR)
Soot visibility and optical density
Temperature distribution along the tunnel
Velocity profiles of hot gases and smoke
The video is presented in two parts:
🚫 First Half – Without Jet Fans: uncontrolled smoke movement, poor visibility, and higher temperatures.
