Mud Lane (Harpenden 1 & Wheathampstead 2) HE 114/117 Hertfordshire. Motorbike Trail Riding in the UK

Описание: A single route comprised of two continuous byways (due to crossing a parish boundary). Starting from the Western End which is Harpenden Byway.

Despite the name it is mostly free of mud, starting from East Common, Harpenden as a tarmac car park of a former pub, it goes through a narrow gap, onto a gravel lane then switching to natural dirt surface for the majority of the lane.

As you reach the railway bridge, the parish boundary is reached and the lane is now designated as Wheathampstead Byway 2. Ends where it meets tarmac at Ayre's End Lane

If meeting horses coming towards you, please pull over and cut your engine until they are past. If you catch up with horses, stop and take a break, giving them time to clear the road.
