Day 25 of main house rebar. Here we are covering up the gravel on top of the compacted pads with vapor barrier. We used 20 mil StegoWrap for the vapor barrier. Then we added a top layer of 6 mil vapor barrier just as a protective layer to protect the StegoWrap from being degraded by UV from the sun. We then finished cleaning up the footings and started adding the upper layer of rebar to the footing. The upper layer has to be suspended and held at the correct height nearly level with the top of the earth. Remember to use the laser level to set your rebar height so you get the entire layer lined up.
