qubo commercials (WRC, May 28, 2011)

Описание: Another Internet Archive find, these ads come from airings of "Babar" and "The Magic School Bus" on WRC, NBC's affiliate in Washington, DC. I watched qubo around this time period, so many of these ads and
programs bring fond memories for me. And while some are repeated, there's still some neat stuff here.
1. Willa's Wild Life promo (I remember watching this show. It had a catchy theme song!)
2. Chuck E Cheese's commercial (I don't remember seeing these ads on qubo, so this was surprising!)
3. Your Baby Can Read! (The concept of this intrigued me at the age of 11 or 12)
4. Small Step "Sandwiches" PSA (Rude burping in a public service announcement...THAT'S NOT RIGHT!)
5. qubo channel (I actually had this for a little while, but then the service I watched it on shut down)
6. qubo "Waves" bumper (I memorized every single one of qubo's bumpers as a kid)
7. Turbo Dogs "Mags" bumper (the "issued" date was the day after my ninth birthday!)
8. Small Step "Get Up And Be A Player" PSA (I remember the ad with this song and a cartoon coach in it, but not this particular one)
9. InventNow Meet the Robinsons PSA (I'm amused at how a PSA promoting a movie from 2007 ran up until 2012).
10. Where The Other You Lives PSA (Another ad I remember quite well)
11. The More You Know "Exercise" (Wow, I never knew that!)
12. Mercedes-Benz (Businessmen...in the desert?)
13. Bassett (A furniture store in the Washington, D.C. area)
14. Kung Fu Panda 2 Sweepstakes Ad (What a cool prize to win!)
15. The Feast bumper (No clue what this was...the site no longer works)
16. qubo rescheduling notification (I fondly remember the VeggieTales on TV version of Gideon, Tuba Warrior and the 3-2-1 Penguins episode about a dartboard airing on a weekday afternoon during the Beijing Olympics as a result of one of these reschedules)
17. Turbo Dogs "Dash" promo (The only things I remember about this show were the promos and the "chicken crosses the road" running gag)
18. Baby Bullets (So food with perservatives is the REAL reason babies cry?)
19. InventNow Cat Magnet Ad (Another ad I have fond memories of, but it's not as funny as the InventNow ad with the talking teddy bear...)

21. Small Step "Watermelon" PSA (I don't think it's a good idea to spit watermelon seeds at your sibling!)
22. Ask Me "Good Birthday Party" (The image of the group of people used for "Friends" was also on a classroom poster in one of my elementary school classrooms)

25. Reading PSA (Another one I remember!)
26. Small Step "Grapes" PSA (Is sleep eating really a thing?)
27. Small Step "Today Is Saturday" PSA (One of my favorite 2010-2012 era qubo ads!)
28. The More You Know "Recycling" (There's so many impressive facts in these ads!)
29. Kung Fu Panda 2 Sweepstakes Ad (repeat)
30. Count On Chevy event (with catchy background music)
31. Wednesday's Child promo (I wonder if this was a local program or part of the station's newscast...)

33. Shelter Stories Feauturing Mutts (Mutts was one of my favorite comics as a kid!)

35. Ask Me! "Animals" (This particular Ask Me spot was on all the time!)
36. Shelldon promo (This show had a pretty cool theme song too!)
37. Turbo Dogs "GT" bumper (qubo really had faith in this show succeeding...)
