In a world where business often feels transactional, David Zumaya redefines success through the power of connection and authenticity. In this TEDxEscondido talk, David dives into his philosophy of building meaningful relationships by knowing your "Why" and bringing passion to every interaction. He shares how trust, value, and respect form the foundation for impactful relationships and sustainable business growth. Through his unique approach, "One Cafecito at a Time," David illustrates how small, intentional gatherings can cultivate a thriving community where collaboration and mutual support flourish. David is a marketing advocate for the community. His passion is bringing the community together and sharing the best of San Diego North County with his online directory and social media channels. As a former banker, marketing representative, and photographer, David combines his experience to deliver marketing services to his clients, including working with the Small Business Development Center as a business advisor and community outreach. At the age of 50, David returned to complete his master’s degree in Internet Marketing. This allowed him to complete his goal of being a college and university professor.

David has served in many roles with the local chamber of commerce from Escondido to Oceanside, managing digital marketing, being the membership director, and supporting local businesses. This experience is how he created My San Diego North County community and business directory and the very popular Cafecito Business Networking events.
