In this 32-minute video, we transform a discarded piece of driftwood into a handmade wooden tea table with unique rustic charm.
The table measures 94cm long, 30cm wide, and 20cm high, featuring a detachable design with two U-shaped wooden legs.
We cut and shaped the driftwood using hand tools, chainsaws, and grinders. The tabletop keeps its natural curvature underneath, while the top is carefully carved and decorated with simple engraved patterns for a minimalist look.
The table is designed with a removable structure: two legs joined with a metal rod, and the tabletop locked in place with carved grooves.
We also created a 22cm side handle, giving the piece the look of a rustic pizza tray with a unique twist.
Finally, the surface was finished with wood oil, giving it a warm, natural tone while highlighting the texture and character of the aged wood.
