In this HEAVENN webinar, moderated by Tatiana Block (New Energy Coalition), Eddy Kuperus (Gasunie) shares real-world lessons from underground hydrogen storage demonstrations in salt caverns and explains why UHS is a key enabler for a resilient hydrogen system.
The session explores how confidence can be strengthened across four essential quadrants of a functioning hydrogen economy: technical, governmental, societal, and economic. You’ll also learn why underground storage matters for long-duration, large-scale energy balancing, what makes hydrogen different from natural gas in terms of safety and standards, and how pilots help build supply chains, skills, and operational experience.
