How to test spray paint adhesion?

1. Hundred grid adhesion test:
Use a grid knife to draw 10×10 small grids of 1mm*1mm on the surface of the test sample. Each scratched line touches the sample material. Use a tape to conduct 3 grid pull tests. If there is no paint peeling off at the edges or intersections of the lines, it is considered qualified.

2. Alcohol test
Alcohol testing is mainly focused on areas that require alcohol-resistant environments, such as surface treatment of wine packaging. The alcohol-resistant test is to use professional cotton cloth soaked in absolute alcohol with a concentration more than 95%, wrap it around the test part, and apply a load of 500g , use a professional instrument to wipe the surface of the sample back and forth for 75 cycles. If the paint does not fall off and the surface does not fade significantly, it is qualified.

3. Paper tape test
By putting the paint-sprayed test piece in contact with the paper tape, applying a load of 175g with a special wear-resistant and special tape, driving the paper tape to rub on the surface of the sample, performing multiple cycles of friction, and finally measuring the degree of wear on the paint surface to evaluate the adhesion.
