Описание: (6 Jan 2021) As Congress prepares to affirm President-elect Joe Biden's victory, thousands of people have gathered in Washington, Wednesday to show their support for President Donald Trump and his baseless claims of election fraud.
Pro Trump supporters rally on the Ellipse, just south of the White House including members of the Trump family who told the crowd, Trump has started a movement that "will never, ever die."
Eric Trump, son of President Donald Trump and his first wife, Ivana Trump told the crowd "It doesn't matter, they can lie, they can cheat, they can steal, my father has started a movement and this movement will never, ever die. It will never die."
Donald Trump Jr. told supporters: "The people who did nothing to stop the steal, this gathering should send a message to them. This isn't their Republican Party anymore. This is Donald Trump's Republican Party."
The president addressed the rally later a bit later. Those remarks coming just hours before members of the House and Senate gather at the Capitol to accept the vote of the Electoral College.
On Tuesday, protesters gathered in Freedom Plaza near the White House in opposition to the electoral vote. The pro-Trump rallies have local officials and law enforcement bracing for potential violent street clashes.
