In this vlog, I’m sewing a rabbit in a vintage style and baking scones on a calm February day in the French Alps.

The design is inspired by The Velveteen Rabbit, a timeless children’s story about a toy rabbit who becomes real through love. From careful cutting and hand stitching to sawdust filling and the final ribbon and rose, I’m slowly bringing this little one to life.

In the kitchen, I bake simple homemade scones, finished with a light sprinkle of sugar and served warm with jam and clotted cream.

And of course, Kafka is never far away, keeping an eye on everything between sun naps and snack inspections. ❤️🐾

🍓 Scones

• 500 g flour, plus extra for dusting
• 120 g chilled butter
• 1 tsp baking powder
• 3 tbsp sugar
• 250 ml milk
• 1 large free-range egg

For brushing:
• 1 egg yolk
• a splash of milk

Best enjoyed warm with jam and clotted cream. ☕🍓
I loved them most with blackcurrant jam. 😉
