That’s bait and switch — followed by gaslighting.

In this powerful LIVE conversation, I sit down with Dr. Bree McDaniel, Licensed Clinical Psychologist, to unpack the psychological harm of workplace bait and switch and the gaslighting that often follows when employees advocate for themselves.

We’ll explore how this practice disproportionately impacts Black Women, who are frequently expected to absorb extra labor, emotional responsibility, and shifting expectations without recognition or compensation. We’ll also talk about what happens internally when your reality is denied — how confusion turns into self-doubt, anxiety, burnout, and silence.
