As I always do on this channel, I’d like to share a short story about what inspired me to create this arrangement.

Not long ago, I decided to listen to Mozart’s opera The Marriage of Figaro. I quickly checked many performances on YouTube, and without any doubt I chose the production from the Zurich Opera House.

It is a brilliant modern interpretation with truly wonderful singers. I highly recommend it.

The Countess performed her aria so beautifully that I immediately wanted to play it on the piano — and also to create my own arrangement.

I didn’t change the essence of the music. I only simplified the texture a little, trying to make it easier to play without damaging the beauty of Mozart’s writing.
In my opinion, the result is exactly what I wanted — but of course, you are the judge, not me 🙂

I can honestly say that the real secret of playing Mozart is hidden in the opera itself.

By recording videos for this channel, I’m also improving my own performance skills. Before uploading the final take, I always listen to several recordings — trying each time to play it even better.
