75 Mile Ride on the SeaDoo's: 2012 GTX S 155 & 2016 GTI 130

Описание: On the morning of Sept 12, 2017 my father and I went for a 75 mile trip on the SeaDoo's. We left from Gratwick Park Boat Launch in North Tonawanda, took the Niagara River to Lake Erie then went on to explore the beach areas of Angola NY. We weren't sure of the range of our SeaDoo's, so we started to head back home with a little over a half tank each. We both used ECO mode on the way out to conserve fuel for the return trip, I turned mine off on the way back, and I believe my father did also. Lake Erie was very calm that day, making for a very nice ride. The entire trip took us about 2 1/2 hours and we covered 74.8 miles. My GTX S (suspension) 155 hp has an 18.6 gallon fuel tank, I found out later that I used 11.5 gallons, so I had plenty of gas left. The 2016 GTI 130 has a 15.9 gallon tank, but that ski weighs a couple hundred pounds less than my suspension model GTX, so range may be similar. We both did some top speed runs on the west side of Grand Island, I was able to get up to 57 mph on the GTX, my father got his GTI to 56 mph. Next trip maybe we'll go farther, and plan ahead for a place to fuel the skis if needed.
