A serendipity? The day after we posted this chanty (shanty?), Stephen Colbert of "A Late Show", lamented the current state of things and wryly remarked something like, "We should have sea chanties. Sea chanties are fun! 2021 is the Year of the Sea Chanties!" And so...

This be a short sea chanty known by more titles than the song is long. As we searched for appropriate illustrations, we discovered that the lyrics really didn't fit some of the fish named. For example, the "king" Herring (which is tiny, rather like a sardine!) is not likely to blow up a wind, no matter how many there are nor how hard they puff. (See also Smelt "on the poop"!) Oh, well! Not exactly a grand posting this, but here it be. Hope you enjoy it. Mallory sings and Jan pumps her organ. Whee ! ! !

At this writing, we're rather deeply caught up in the shocking saga of Sir Donald of Trump and the attack of his killer lemmings polluting the capitol. Just today (January 13, 2021) he has once again been impeached. Hope it sticks, and he blows over the edge of the flat Dystopian Sea and out of sight.
