US top investigative agency, the FBI, has added an Indian national, Kalpesh Kumar Rasikbhai Patel, to its wanted list. He is accused of running an organized call-fraud network that carried out large-scale fraud in the United States. According to the FBI, this network was active between 2017 and 2021 and targeted dozens of people, defrauding them of millions of dollars. What else did the FBI reveal?

The Supreme Court has granted major relief to YouTuber Elvish Yadav by quashing the FIR registered by Uttar Pradesh Police in the 2023 high-profile snake venom case. In November 2023, a case was filed against Elvish Yadav over allegations of using snake venom during a rave party in Noida. He was arrested on 17 March 2024. The charges claimed that snakes and their venom were used for entertainment and intoxication at parties, which is a serious offence under wildlife protection laws.
