I'm one of 3 people in the planet with piss Grimsley, so you knew this was coming.

Before you ask 6*EX Grimsley sucks shit. Don't do it.

Cresselia's Legendary Arena is one of the rare times people remember Grimsley exists. Grimsley wasn't made for Cresselia more than the battle was structured around him. Grimsley can Snatch Cresselia's very dangerous buffs and he also has innate Lithe to immunize himself from Cresselia's AoE Paralysis. He also has mixed damage to work around Brawn Barrier and Brain Barrier. He's one of the best units at countering this LA.

Piss Grimsley majorly benefits from the added bulk and 6*EX sync multiplier, so his performance very much improves relative to the standard Grims. I'm tanking with him to proc his Evasion passives and also deter Cresselia's Thunder Wave from botching his partners. Given Grimsley can handle the bulk of the defensive and offensive pressure of this fight, I wanted partners who enhanced his performance.

This was a good opportunity to showcase how great Sawyer is for this LA too. He is similar to Grimsley in a lot ways: both having access to Night Slash and Dark Pulse, they can work around Cresselia's shifting defenses. Grimsley only buffs Crit and Evasion, so Sawyer tops every buff that Grimsley misses otherwise, completing his Atk, Sp.Atk, Def and Sp.Def.

Sawyer's grid was modified for Sync Burst and Synchro Healing so he can take over at the 2nd health bar to complete the party's buffs. I also nabbed Sync Cure to counter Cresselia's AoE Toxic in case Grimsley can't dodge it. Grimsley himself is employing a "DPS" build. He doesn't have multipliers but all the Dark Pulse tiles gives him something to work with. Optimally I only need 2 Snatches in this fight so I didn't focus on that too much.

The last slot can be anyone tbh. Sycamore + Grimsley + Sawyer is the standard Cresselia 3v1 lineup, but I went with the thematic fit. I'm already using Sawyer so why not toss Rachel in there too? I'm not fond of Rachel's kit but you can see how she excels in the correct circumstances. Grimsley with Speed buffs basically guarantees gauge for the entire fight, Snarl keeps Cresselia in check and her TM saves Grimsley from Toxic.

The Theme Skills here are pretty huge, offering a raw +174 HP to the party. Grimsley's biggest issue as a tank is low HP but here he is tanking with confidence, even when lacking Vigilance. Sure Crit Hyper Beam still fucks him up but Rachel's Endure keeps him safe from that.

Something I really like about Grimsley + Sawyer is that they make a competent Flinch core by spamming their strongest move. With some luck Cresselia has no chance to attack once I engage that mode.
