BLAIR COUNTY, Pa (WJAC) — Pennsylvania farmers could potentially see lower energy costs under a new plan from Governor Josh Shapiro.
On Wednesday, the Governor visited Blair County to discuss how the initiative would help rural communities save money and use energy more efficiently.
Governor Shapiro stopped at Penn England Farms, in Williamsburg, to discuss a new plan impacting farmers and rural communities.
He says it could help lower costs and make energy more accessible.
Shapiro first announced his Lightning Plan back in January during a visit to Pittsburgh International Airport, it’s a statewide initiative designed to make energy more affordable and accessible for farmers and rural areas.
