Record Las Vegas heat did not stop this extreme gardener

Описание: Even with summer temperatures in the triple digits, Richard Galvin works his home garden nearly every day after finishing his day job remodeling homes. Galvin started gardening to provide pesticide-free food for his family and endured growing pains to enable his garden to thrive—even in the summer.

Galvin started eating a more organic-heavy diet due to concerns about carcinogenic substances in his food. He admitted it was impossible to avoid them entirely, but he wanted to do what he can to minimize contact.

“I [now know] why organic things cost so much,” said Galvin. “It's very difficult to grow things organically.”
