STORYLINE:
The 20th annual Gay Pride Parade was held on Saturday in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
The focus of this year's parade is the fight for a gender law to enable transsexuals and transvestites to change their sex on their birth certificates after having sexual reassignment surgery.
Last year the pride parade drew large crowds to celebrate the Gay Marriage Law.
For years the parade's motto had been: "The same rights with the same names," but that was rendered moot with the passage of the new law.
The parade starts in Plaza de Mayo Square, where people gather before marching towards the National Congress, which is about ten blocks away.
This celebration generally ends at midnight after a party in Congress Square.
