Here’s a short history of Kotha Koduru Velankanni Matha Church in Nellore

Velankanni Matha Church, located in Nellore, Andhra Pradesh, is a revered Catholic church dedicated to Our Lady of Good Health (Velankanni Matha). Inspired by the famous Basilica of Our Lady of Good Health in Velankanni, Tamil Nadu, this church is a spiritual destination for many devotees in and around the Nellore region.

The Church was built in the year of 1987 by Late Most Rev Dr. PC Balaswamy Bishop of Nellore. From then it became the Pilgrimage centers of Nellore district.

The church features beautiful Gothic-style architecture, serene surroundings, and a peaceful ambiance that attracts both pilgrims and tourists. The shrine every year hosts special feast celebrations 8 days in September, drawing large crowds who come to offer prayers, seek blessings, and experience spiritual solace. The church is also known for its miraculous stories and healing faith associated with Mother Mary.

Every Day morning at 8:00 am the Church gets opened
Night 9: 00 PM Church Closed.
