America’s Birthday in Americas Birthplace: Burgers, Baseball & Bad Decisions

Описание: Celebrating America’s birthday in the birthplace of America – Philadelphia 🇺🇸⚾️. The day was loaded with all things red, white, and blue: baseball, BBQ, swimming, and way too much food. Kicked it off with my tradition of fist-bumping the Harry Kalas statue for good luck, asked my friends what food screams “America” to them, and somehow heard Hulk Hogan’s theme blasting (RIP a few weeks later 💔).

Tried a bacon cheeseburger and a hotdog with a very questionable topping… gave it a bad review because wow, it deserved it 🤢. Todd still sucks (as always 😂). Phillies came out hot with a Castellanos homer, but it fell apart fast with 5 runs in the 3rd — Luzardo didn’t even make it out of the inning. Thought I was about to witness a chair heist, but the guy was just relocating them.

Hit the team store where they’re running a deal (buy a Phillies towel, get a free cup), but they moved everything around since last time. Brandon Marsh torpedo bats are a thing now. Also discovered you can build your own ice cream masterpiece — and yes, in Philly we call them jimmies, not sprinkles.

Nick Sirianni popped up on Phanavision, Quagmire and I debated pineapple on pizza, and of course we broke down hockey — from Florida going back-to-back with the Cup to the Flyers’ draft picks. The Phillies dropped this one to Cincinnati 9-6 (not nice) on America’s birthday, but the night ended with fireworks lighting up the sky 🎆. Because nothing screams freedom like colorful explosions after watching your team collapse.
