Authorities in Hyderabad have intensified their crackdown on food adulteration, uncovering several illegal manufacturing units across the city. In a recent raid at Lalapet, the Task Force seized over 1,900 kg of adulterated ginger-garlic paste made with harmful acids and synthetic thickeners. Another major bust in Banjara Hills (Pride Dairy) led to the seizure of 3,000 kg of fake ghee and cream mixed with palm oil and vanaspati. Additionally, a unit in Sanathnagar was caught mixing low-grade tea dust with chemicals and cocopeat to supply to local hotels. These unhygienic units were reportedly using fake brand labels to cheat consumers.
