One of the best ways to instantly improve hamstring length is to use the principles behind pails and rails.

Think of your muscles as a collection of springs. When you compress a spring as hard as you possibly can, the next thing it wants to do is lengthen out.

Hold each of the following positions for approximately 20 seconds and repeat that for 2 to 3 rounds. Focus on slowly increasing the activation of the hamstring like you’re going through the five gears of a car.

Positions:
Hamstring stretch (toes pointing up and leg straight)
Hamstring activation (knee unlocked, heel pushing down, and heel pulling toward the butt)
Hip flexion (keep the body tall and long, pulling up with the lower core and the quad)

The more effective you become at activating your hamstrings, the happier they will become :})
