RULES:

2. All other party members must defend
3. Other party members may not wear equipment
4. No red essence
5. If Mario is unable to be in the party (Dodo fight), the party members may take all actions.
6. On level, other characters must take the bonus that provides them with the fewest number of defensive stat points. If these are equal, the bonus with the lowest attack must be taken.

EXTRA CHALLENGE RULES ADDED DURING THE RUN:

7. No lazy shell
8. No super suit
