Overdrive Etude

Описание: In the etude, I associate: passages, hexatonics and pentatonics. I organize the music material like Jerry Bergonzi and Randy Vincent described in their books.
1. Passages
I usually use them like Jerry Bergonzi described in the "Melodic Structures" book. A ninth is added to the major triad (group: 1 – 2 – 3 – 5). To a minor triad a perfect fourth (group: 1 – 3 – 4 – 5).
I also use other formulas.
In the first half of bar 22 I refer to the formula: 3 – 4 – 5 – 7.
In the second half of bar 21, I used the formula: 5 – 6 – 7 – 9.

2. Hexatonic is understood in the approach presented by Jerry Bergonzi in the book "Hexatonics" as the combination of two triads that have no common notes. I refer to this idea in bar 25, where in the context of C major chord I use and combine the material of two triads whole step apart: G and F. A similar procedure takes place in the second part of bar 13 and the first part of bar 14, where I associate the triads B and F (major triads a tritone apart).

Another approach to the hexatonic that I refer to in the etude is the formula presented by Randy Vincent in the book "Line Games. An In-Depth Study of Single-Note Lines for Guitar".
This time I use the material of a natural major scale without a fourth (avoid note): root, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 7th.
Relative minor: root, 2nd, mi3rd, 5th, 6th, mi7th.
You can see this idea in bars 11 and 21.

3. Pentatonic
I use them to a small extent. I use the formulas described by Jerry Bergonzi in his book "Pentatonics". In addition to the "traditional" major pentatonic (bar 14), I use more exotic, sophisticated music material in bar 18. These are the Hirasjoshi pentatonic and the so-called «Eric Sati» scale.

The described music material is suitable for use in many other environments, although it comes from books focused on the art of jazz improvisation.
After subjecting it to rhythmic editing and appropriate phrasing, it can be the foundation of any improvisation.
I usually playing triplets in grups of 4.
I add some strings for a little bit of drama.
