Are you ready for Bird Flu season? Do you have a building or enclosed run suitable for housing your hens for potentially months over the winter?
Whilst there is no guarantee it will happen again this year, the last few years have involved mandatory housing orders for poultry here in the UK, so it is prudent to get ready.
In this video I go through how I am getting our backyard layer hen setup ready so there are no nasty last-minute surprises.
I also want to take this opportunity to 'level up' our chicken management system - a key part of being more self-sufficient is being more organised and efficient with how you work.... because there is always so much to do!
