Being a bit more food self-sufficient isn't easy, especially as most crops seem to be ready for harvest all at the same time!

By carefully choosing what you grow, and including some veg that can be stored after the growing season is over, you can significantly extend the 'eating season' for your produce.... you just need to know how to store it!

This video looks at pumpkins & squashes, alliums (onions & garlic) and root vegetables, and offers lots of tips for each for how we go about storing them for the winter ahead.
