On the slopes of two majestic Himalayan peaks, Mt. Trishul (7,120m) and Mt. Nandaghungti (6,309m), a saddle named “Ronti” nestles some 5,213 meters above the sea level. It is one of the least explored vicinities of mysterious lakes Roopkund and Homkund. We undertook an enthralling expedition in Sep'16, crossed Ronti Saddle and ventured into an unexplored territory of Nanda Devi Sanctuary of Garhwal.
This 40 minutes travelogue takes you through a “must-do” trek to Roopkund, sacred lake Homkund, and finally crossing Ronti Saddle to enter into uncharted territory of Nanda Devi Sanctuary of Uttarakhand, India
