Low-Barrier Hike, ADA, 1.4 miles at Rockport State Park, WA - Accessible Hike, wheelchair hike

Описание: I’m starting a new series of hike videos for people who are looking for accessible, low-barrier and no-barrier trails. A viewer recently commented on one of my hikes and asked if there was access to the trail that didn’t go up the big long set of stairs that I used. I did a little looking online and found there was a separate approach that used a ramp, but I hadn’t known about that or filmed it.

I looked on YouTube and found that there aren’t many hike videos described as low-barrier, accessible or ADA. So, in order to help friends who are looking for these type of hikes, I’m going to hike and film the low-barrier, accessible, and ADA hikes in my area. I’ll describe the hikes and any barriers that I notice. Please comment if you have any questions or ideas!

I bought this book to learn about more trails in Washington. Volunteers hiked the trails and contributed descriptions. Published in 1995 but still thorough and helpful.
