San Bernardino County, CA — January 17, 2026: Authorities reported that Anthony Jackson was killed after being struck by a semi-truck in a hit-and-run incident on State Route 247, also known as Barstow Road, south of Barstow. According to officials, the crash occurred at approximately 1:45 p.m. near the intersection with Charro Road when a semi-truck reportedly struck a pedestrian and continued driving from the scene. The pedestrian, later identified as 35-year-old Anthony Jackson of Apple Valley, was pronounced dead at the scene due to injuries sustained in the collision. Authorities have not released further details regarding the truck or driver involved. The incident remains under investigation.
