Breaking up words into syllables or chunks is a really important part of the reading process. Syllabication helps children learn to read and spell difficult words. If your child gets stuck on a difficult word, he or she can use syllabication rules to figure it out.
All you need for this activity is a marker, paper, and scissors. You can set this activity up in minutes and your child or student will love it!
