Here is an Orton-Gillingham activity using building blocks to help your student quickly learn how to read and spell welded sounds. Use this activity in your homeschool or in your classroom literacy centers.
Welded sounds or glued sounds in Orton-Gillingham are groups of letters within a word (king, hang, long) that are easier to learn as a chunk than separated into individual sounds. Our students need a lot of practice with glued sounds, so I came up with this fun activity to practice glued sounds with them.
