Salem Special Pichi Pota Nattukozhi Varuval/Shredded Chicken/Pichi Pota Nattukozhi recipe in tamil.
It is a popular recipe from tamilnadu.it is highly delicious of Chettinad Cuisine and can be Cooked in 40 minutes.Shredded chicken is served with Rice,dosa and Chappathi.
INGREDIENTS:
Country Chicken - 1/2 kgs
Sesame oil - 3 tbsp
Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
Redchilly powder - 2 tbsp
Kashmiri chilly powder - 1/2 tbsp
Mutton Masala - 1 tbsp
Pepper powder - 1/2 tbsp
Gingergarlic paste - 1 1/2 tbsp
Big Onions - 1no
Green chilly - 2 nos
Water - 1 Tumblr
Salt to taste
Curry leaves and Coriander leaves.
In a pressure Cooker,add 1tbsp of sesame oil,add the turmeric powder,chicken, gingergarlic paste,redchilly powder and salt.saute for 30 seconds.Add 1 Tumblr of water and pressure cook the chicken for 4 whistles.Once the pressure settles down,remove the chicken from the pressure cooker and shred it using your hands.keep the shredded chicken pieces with bone aside.In a ironkadai,heat 2 tbsp of sesame oil,add curryleaves, greenchilly,Onions, Ginger garlic paste and saute until the raw smell leaves.Add redchilly powder, Kashmiri chilly powder,muttonmasala, Pepper powder and chicken stock water give a nice mix and saute until the spices are cooked.add the shredded chicken pieces and mix it nicely and keep it for 2 mins, finally add the coriander leaves and mix it well and remove from the heat.
